Call for Doctoral Colloquium

The aim of this Doctoral Colloquium at IEEE QAI 2025 is to bring together students at different stages of doctoral research working in the interdisciplinary fields of Quantum Artificial Intelligence.

The colloquium is different from regular conference tracks where students present results from a focused research work which forms part of their doctoral work.

Here, we aim to encourage students to bring a bigger perspective of their doctoral research i.e., the importance of their research problem to the community at large, and the contribution of their work to the research community per se. Students can present their ongoing or planned research for discussion and receive detailed and constructive feedback on their research from the panel of distinguished research mentors. We also invite the candidates to present the open challenges they are facing to get helpful feedback and fresh perspective from the expert panels and their own peers.

Eligibility

PhD Students at any stage of their research can submit their doctoral colloquium proposal.

Selected proposals will be invited for an oral presentation during the Doctoral Colloquium. This will be evaluated by an expert panel.

Note: The submitted and presented work in this Colloquium will not be published in the Proceedings so that the students can present full papers at chosen venues.

Proposal Submission Guidelines

The submission as a single .pdf file must contain the following:

A 2-page document explaining their research in a bigger perspective rather than focussing on small details of the research. Innovative ideas and novelty must be brought out clearly. The document should highlight the problem being addressed, the plan of research, preliminary results and implications. This is to be formatted using IEEE conference double-column template.
A nomination letter from the research supervisor/advisor, duly signed and on official letterhead.
