IEEE Computer Society Grants

IEEE QAI 2025 is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of student travel grants, generously supported by the IEEE Computer Society. Each award will provide USD 500 to support student participation in the conference. The grants will be given as reimbursements, after conference attendance and presentation.

Priority will be given to students who are authors of accepted papers and will present their work at the conference.

Application Process

To apply, please send an email to infoqai2025@unina.it (cc: roberto.schiattarella@unina.it) with the subject line “IEEE QAI 2025 Student Travel Grant Application”.

Your email must include the following information:

  • Full name

  • Affiliation/organization

  • Title of the paper

  • Paper ID

In addition, the application must include a support letter from the student’s supervisor, on official university letterhead, certifying:

  1. That the student carries at least 50% of a normal full-time academic program as a registered undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD student in a regular course of study.

  2. That the student is the major contributor to the paper and specifying approximately what percentage of the contribution is due to the student.
    • If the student is the sole author, this letter is not required.
    • If none of the co-authors have a supervisory relationship with the student, a declaration signed by all co-authors confirming the applicant’s contribution is required.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The applicant must be a current undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD student.

  • The applicant must be an active IEEE Student Member (preferably also an IEEE Computer Society Student Member).

  • The applicant must be an author or co-author of an accepted paper in the conference with at least 50% contribution, attend the conference, and present the paper.

  • The student must register for the conference (registration is mandatory for all applicants).

IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Grants

IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) is pleased to offer the following types of Travel grants to the IEEE CIS members who are interested to present their papers in-person at IEEE QAI 2025:

 

  • IEEE CIS Conference Travel Grant for Students: This program offers a limited number of grants to assist IEEE CIS Student Members to travel to attend IEEE CIS conferences and present their papers. 
  • IEEE CIS Conference Travel Grant for Researchers from Developing Countries: This program offers a limited number of travel grants to assist IEEE CIS Members of any grade higher than Student to travel to attend IEEE CIS conferences and present their papers. 
  • IEEE CIS “Industry Early Career” Travel Grant: This program offers a limited number of travel grants to assist IEEE-CIS Members working in industry, who are within 2 years of their graduation, to travel to attend IEEE CIS conferences and present their papers.
  • IEEE CIS “Conference Participation and Travel Grant”: This program offers a limited number of grants to support non-lead Student Authors and Non-Author Students attending IEEE CIS conferences. This grant waives/provides discount for the student early registration fee.

The grant will be in the form of digital reimbursement of a fixed amount after the in-person participation in the conference as a registered attendee. The approved amount will be typically USD $600 for intra-continental (within Europe) participants, and USD $1,200 for inter-continental (outside Europe) participants.

The applications can be submitted after the paper notifications have been sent, up to the deadline of 30 August 2025. The outcomes will be communicated by 5 September.
